Through the dock you can view video and listen to music, which is handy because the screen is a respectable 9 inch LCD which sure beats the iPhone screen on a cross country flight or drive. The DCP951 also has an SD card slot for MP3 playback, and of course it plays DVDs as well. With digital distribution rolling right ahead at full speed, it is handy to have as many options as you can in player.

The idea of being stuck at an airport, browsing the iTunes store remotely, renting a movie and watching it on a 9 inch screen without needing a laptop sounds pretty good. And since the Phillips DCP951 will only set you back $140, you don’t have much to lose.
